Apple Family Stickers aka The Way We Roll – photo

I’ve been waiting to post this for quite some time, I just never got around to it. Since today is Geek Pride Day I thought it was a great excuse to share it.

Almost 2 years ago my wife mentioned that she wanted some of those “family stickers” that had become popular on family haulers (aka minivans). At the time the only type I had seen were Disneyland themed. We’re okay with Disney but I wanted something that showed off our particular flavor of family. Then one day it struck me I had several Apple logo stickers in various sizes. The concept was simple and with slight modifications I included our two cats.

Since both my wife and I have been Apple users for over 20 years it seem a great way to show off our geek pride.

Happy Geek Pride Day!

Here’s why May 25th has become Geek Pride Day:

• Towel Day, the day two weeks after Douglas Adams passed in 2001, when hoopy froods keep their towel handy;

• The anniversary of the first Star Wars film, Episode IV: A New Hope, released on May 25, 1977;

• Glorious 25 May, the day in Terry Pratchett’s Discworld when wearing lilac and hard-boiled eggs (and raising awareness around Alzheimer’s research) is appropriate; and

• 5 + 25 + 12 = 42. Which makes this Super Towel Day!
